Friday brought a soggy day to much of the Concho Valley with scattered showers dropping about a quarter to half inch of rainfall. Just over a quarter inch was observed officially at Mathis Field. Drier air continues to work in behind this rain which will lead to a mainly sunny Saturday, although a cooler day as cool air works in. Sunday will be chilly with the cold air mass in place before southerly winds bring back warm air heading into next week. A few showers will be possible Thursday as a weak disturbance swings overhead. Models are bringing a stronger cold front into our area to start off the next week, which could send us back into a colder pattern.
