Although rapid cloud development stayed to the south, there were near record highs across the Concho Valley which is unusual to see such hot temperatures this late in the season.
With football season upon us, fans here in West Texas had perfect weather to watch the game as clearing skies and cooler temperatures settled in.
As the weekend approaches storms forecast to be further east start to build in much quicker by Saturday which could lead to earlier storms that previously thought.
