Jeff: “After Junior Graylon Brown was able to get out of jams in back to back innings the momentum was looking to swing in the favor of the Rams. Missed opportunities killed that momentum.”

Kevin Brooks: “They got the two tack on runs with the two out hit. Then they got the fly out ball that I thought we would get to and we didn’t and then they got another little bleeder. Those two extra runs were big. We had our chances. Bottom line they played better than us, just like they played better than us Saturday and we just did not play well enough to win the game.”

Jeff: “With this being the 2nd trip to the World Series for the Rams under coach Brooks he feels now future teams will settle for nothing less.”

Brooks: “We’ve only had baseball 11 years and we gotten here twice which is a great accomplishment so this team is special and it will go down as one of the better ones at Angelo State. Hopefully we can get to an expectation to get to a regional every year.”

Jeff: “For the seniors of the squad this team is one they will never forget.”

Brett David: “I was just very blessed to be a part of this team. I met a lot of great guys and I’ll have a long lasting impression of these guys.”

J.C. Snyder: ” A great group of guys, I’ll never forget this team. This is probably the funnest year I’ve had even if we didn’t make it here but making it here was kind of icing on the cake.”

Jeff: “The Rams finish their season 42-18 and one of 6 teams left standing in the nation. From the Division II College World Series in Cary North Carolina, Jeff Corean, KSAN, San Angelo’s sports channel.”
