The Lone Star Conference announced their athletes of the year on Thursday for the 2014-2015 athletic year. Angelo State baseball’s left handed ace was named LSC Male Athlete of the year just one day after being selected in the 40th round of the Major League Baseball draft by the Houston Astros. The Tucson Arizona native finished the year posting a record of 11-1 and set the single season record for strikeouts at ASU with 138. Naemark was three time LSC pitcher of the week, South Central Region Pitcher of the year and LSC Pitcher of the year.

Steve Naemark: “I just find a rhythm and keep going with it. I don’t let the pressure of baserunners get to me at all.”

Cameron Massengil: “His attitude about the game. He’ll get bases loaded no outs and he know for a fact he is going to give up no runs. He has that confidence about him that swagger that he knows he’s going to go out there and get it done and he goes out there everyday and does it.”
