In news with Kaitlin Moore, a San Angelo man is going to prison for 10 years for injuring a child.

Daniel Martin Enriquez appeared at the courthouse for a plea hearing on his charge for causing serious injury to a six-month-old girl.

It happened at a North San Angelo home last year, the girl received a serious head injury while Enriquez was alone with her in a room.

She is now in the care of her Aunt after CPS intervened.

The body of Isaac DeLeon, who drowned at fort hood, is back home in San Angelo to be buried.

19-year-old, Private DeLeon, was one of nine soldiers who died during a training accident when their truck overturned in a flooded creek at Fort Hood.

Tuesday night is body arrived at San Angelo’s Shaffer Funeral Home with members of a military escort.

His funeral service will be at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church Thursday, June 16th at ten the morning.

A major rehab project on Highway 67 West of San Angelo is underway this week.

Workers with San Angelo’s Reece Albert Construction are in the process of repairing a 13 mile stretch of highway 67 from San Angelo West into Tom Green County for the next several weeks. 

Drivers could experience brief delays because of construction work.

With high temperatures near the 100 degree mark this week, officials are warning parents about vehicle related deaths for children caused by heat stroke.

Police say even leaving a child under six in a vehicle unattended is a crime.

Experts say even on a 60 degree day, the temperature inside a car can reach 110 degrees in just a few minutes.

In weather, not hitting the triple digits just quite yet, but the Concho Valley is flirting with them. Temps. reaching into the upper 90’s with mostly sunny conditions. Adam says there is a cool down though expected for Father’s Day weekend.
