Water Dept. Crews Work To Fix Huge Sinkhole

City crews are working to fix a sinkhole that spans across the width of a block on Oxford Drive.

According to water department officials the sinkhole opened up in the 2700 block of Oxford Drive between Sul Ross and A&M overnight after a water line broke.

For about three hours Friday morning resident’s water in the area was effected and during that time crews worked on redirecting the flow of water around the break.

Currently the street is blocked off and officials say that they could be working on the sink hole through the weekend.
