SAN ANGELO, Texas (Update: December 2, 2022) — The Tom Green Sherriff office told CVHP staff they would not be releasing a statement in regard to the vehicle yesterday on US67 however shared that prior to the vehicle catching fire the driver observed smoke under the hood and pulled to the shoulder. The driver was then able to evacuate the vehicle before it succumbed to flames and no injuries occurred.
SAN ANGELO, Texas (December 1, 2022) — At 4:40 p.m. the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office sent out a Nixle alert regarding a vehicle fire that has blocked both lanes of traffic on US Highway 67.
The white truck caught fire just south of Twin Mountain Fence, leaving behind only the truck bed.
The cause of the fire and the condition of the driver is currently unknown as personnel on the scene were unable to provide a statement.
