In news with Kaitlin Moore, 27 year old man is charged with felony arson in connection to a house fire.
City officials say Alejos Muniz was charged and booked into the Tom Green County jail after he told an arson investigator with the fire marshal’s office that he started a fire which destroyed a home on East 21st Street.
Officials ruled the house a total loss.
The incident took place on Thursday, but Muniz was arrested on Saturday, June 10th.
A 26-year-old San Angelo man is jailed after a toddler accidently shot himself in the head.
Colt Barrientes is charged with criminal negligence endangering a child.
He’s charged in the shooting at a home in the 700 block of East Harris on May 22nd.
Officers arrived that evening to investigate the case of a three-year-old shot in the head after picking up a loaded handgun from the couch.
The child was air-lifted to Fort Worth for treatment and has since been released.
The entry fee of one shooter will feed a homebound senior for a month.
Over the weekend meals for the elderly held their 12th annual clay bird shoot.
Competitors were provided meals and given a shot at a number of prizes, with one out of every 10 winning a choice of a 750 dollar gift certificate to field and streams sporting goods or 500 dollars cash.
Funds from this event help feed over 700 meals per day to homebound seniors.
