In news with Kaitlin Moore, a 40 year-old city of San Angelo employee is jailed on a theft charge.
The case comes from the theft of an air conditioning unit from a location on North Poe on Monday.
A witness told police about seeing a white pickup with the city of San Angelo seal in an alley and a man unloading an air conditioner onto a trailer.
Police arrested Benito Mosqueda at the city street and bridge office Thursday.
A federal judge sentenced a 39 year-old San Angelo man to life in prison for drug distribution.
Richard Jasso was convicted late last year and is one of 12 defendants, mostly from San Angelo, in an organized crime drug enforcement operation.
Officers arrested Jasso after he delivered more than 50 grams of methamphetamine to someone working for the DEA.
With Jasso’s sentence, all 12 defendants charged in the indictment have received a federal prison sentence.
The video taken Saturday of the exchange between an officer and city council member Bill Richardson is now out for the public to see.
A recall petition is being circulated for the district one council member following comments on facebook over the weekend.
The officer responded to a call at Richardson’s home on River Oaks Saturday morning.
A camera on the dash of the patrol car recorded the incident. They’re standing just off camera.
