In news with Kaitlin Moore, a 23-year-old man is jailed for assaulting a police officer at a local Taco Bell.
Police arrested Adrian Pleasant Junior following the attack at the Taco Bell on Sherwood Way.
Monday police got a call about an unwanted subject in a vehicle at the drive thru window, who was allegedly threatening an employee and attempting to force the window open.
Officials say he intentionally collided his vehicle with a patrol car.
One officer sustained minor injuries arresting pleasant who at one point had to deploy a taser.
He is facing a number of charges.
A 42 year old man leads police on a brief chase landing himself in jail.
Tuesday police say it started with a call for a man in North San Angelo attempting to sell tools that might be stolen.
Following a foot chase for about three blocks. Officers arrested Daniel Cuellar at 34th and Grape Creek Road.
Police say he had a weapon and is charged with possession of methamphetamine and evading arrest.
38 year old Bolivar Dean Newkirk is under indictment on a sexual assualt charge.
Charging documents show Newkirk punched a woman in the face in a bathroom at the Lowes grocery store on 19th Street in July.
Newkirk is accused of dragging her to a bathroom stall and sexually assaulting her.
A hearing is set for November.
Experts say some West Texas residents who are struggling to pay their bills are getting trapped in a cycle of debt.
Members of a coalition of faith and community leaders are working to help regulate the payday and auto title lending business in San Angelo.
They say the industry targets poor residents and can charge up to 500 percent on a loan.
Without federal or state regulations, coalition members say local governments need to help protect citizens.
