Thirteenth Year of Music In The Park At Santa Rita Park

The Santa Rita Neighborhood Association and the Adult Literacy Council celebrated its thirteenth year of Music In The Park.

All were welcome to bring their own picnic and yard chairs and listen to music  by Jimmie Rose and Friends.

There was an arts and crafts station where kids could make bracelets, there were books, and even fun children activities.

The children activities were sponsored by central high school students and organizer, Sophia Templeton.

A member of the Adult Literacy, Marylin Golightly, says, “come the next time, it’s wonderful to be outside, and have the kids dance and throwing frizbees, and face painting. It’s a fun activity to bring people together.”

The event took place on Sunday night from 7 to 9 PM at Santa Rita Park. It is bi-annual and the next one will be July 29th.
