The Children’s Advocacy Center held a free training Tuesday evening to teach residents about the signs of physical and emotional child abuse.
Over a dozen people attended the organization’s “Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse” training.
The course included video training for viewers to learn from — Tuesday being one of the last events of Child Abuse Prevention Month.

According to Director of Community Engagement Morgan Tuttle, statistics show that for every adult trained, ten children are made safer.
“Abuse come in every demographic, every socioeconomic status; There is no particular demographic or dependent…it’s everywhere,” says Tuttle.
Training is available at anytime of the year.
