San Angelo’s Annual Veterans Day Parade Draws Large Crowds

Veterans day isn’t officially here until next Friday, but residents flocked to downtown San Angelo in the hundreds for the annual Veterans Day Parade.

For the 13th year, the Veterans Council of Tom Green County hosted this parade–this year the motto was “Because of the Brave.” More than 50 floats participated today, and this year–float and parade entries could compete for first, second or third place for being the most patriotic.

Goodfellow Airforce Base was well-represented today with military members from the Marine Corps, Army, Navy and Air Force marching through the streets.

There was even a special VIP section which accommodated veterans who have served in any war since World War II.
