Five San Angelo residents were arrested between Oct. 14-19 during a joint law enforcement apprehension operation.

Members of the San Angelo Police Department’s Street Crimes Division collaborated with the United States Drug Enforcement Administration and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to apprehend five San Angelo residents who were recently indicted on federal drug and weapons charges by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Lubbock.

Jessica Collins, 32, Matt Merrill, 27, Juan Moreno, 42, Tony Ramon, 30, and David Steinbach, 34, were taken into custody over recent days and remanded to U.S. Marshals.

Subsequent to the apprehension operation, investigators located and seized a short-barreled firearm. Additional federal charges may be forthcoming.

The indictments stem from several ongoing investigations into narcotics and weapon trafficking in and around San Angelo.
