San Angelo Man Dies In Two Vehicle Accident

A 27 year old San Angelo man is dead following an accident 9 miles north of San Angelo.

Officials arrived at the scene just after 10 pm Thursday night of a two vehicle accident on Highway 87.

The preliminary investigation shows the driver of the Hyundai Accent, 27 year-old, Adrian Rodriguez, was traveling on Glass Road toward U.S. 87 and disregarded the stop sign at the intersection.

The other driver involved, Joseph Corona, was traveling Northbound on Highway 87 in a Toyota Tundra Pickup and struck the Hyundai after it entered the intersection.

The Hyundai caught fire and came to rest in the median, while the pick up came to rest in a barrow ditch located on the east side of the roadway.

The Hyundai driver Adrian Rodriguez of San Angelo died as a result of accident.

The pick up driver 61 year old Joseph Corona from Laredo and two passengers all suffered non-incapacitating injuries.
