Residents Having Child Car Seat Installations Inspected After Fatal US-67 Accident

Following a fatal accident on US-67 Wednesday that took the life of a 1 year old girl, other residents are looking into having car seat installations inspected by local safety technicians. According to DPS, both of the children involved in Wednesday’s accident were not properly strapped into their car seats.

This resulted in both children being ejected from the vehicle. In the same report, the 3 year old boy was listed as having suffered “non-incapacitating injuries,” while the mother–the driver of the vehicle–had “minor injuries.”

If you would like to have your car seat installation checked by a certified safety technician, you can follow the link below or head over to Mitchell Buick-GMC on April 20th as Safe Kids San Angelo is hosting a “car seat check up” event.
