Reading with Kids and Arts and Crafts at North Branch Library

Every Saturday at 2 PM the North Branch Library holds a reading with kids event. The event is not just reading but they also have arts and crafts.

The craft depends on the story that the librarian or guest reader read that day.

Today they read “Little Shop of Monsters” and the kids crafted their own monsters.

North Branch Librarian, Chelsea Preas says, “Kids with different learning styles, if you can not only read to them, but give them an activity that’s hands on that relates to it. They can take it with them. They can build something with it, and learn in more than just one way.”

The library has books, cds and small dvd collections for the kids to utilize. They also have kids computers and library cards.
