Spring Jam 2019 is just two weeks away

News

Spring is in full swing for the Concho Valley and San Angelo is gearing up for Spring Jam 2019. The highly anticipated concert series will take place at the Riverstage Amphitheater along the Concho River on May 3, 4 and 5. The acts include headliner Cody Jinks, as well as Rick Trevino, The Dirty River Boys and Chris Colston.

“We’ve played in San Angelo a couple of times before but it’s been a while since we’ve been back,” said Colston in a phone interview with KLST/KSAN reporter Victor Glenn. “I’d always heard, I heard about it and I saw Cody Jinks was on the bill, heard great things about the river stage and they asked us and so we were like ‘yeah let’s do it, why not.'”

The river stage is one of the cities most enjoyed venues. Colston said he’s looking forward to seeing West Texas again, including seeing the river stage and other parts of San Angelo he has yet to explore. Colston also stressed the importance of fans turning up to see opening acts, and not just the headliners.

“[In the old days] people would show up early and they might not even know who that band is,” said Colston. “But they would sit there, and you can see video footage of the fans and they would just jam out; and they would become like lifelong fans. You know, of these bands that would be opening up who would later go o to be huge. “

Spring continues to shine on, and San Angelo prepares for Spring Jam 2019. Many fans and music lovers can plan for a weekend of sun and songs.
