Heritage Park is an educational resource

News

Heritage Park, the community gathering and education space which opened in November of 2018, is hosting students from across San Angelo for daily field trips.

Built on land donated by J. Willis Johnson, the site features unique water conservation infrastructure as well as a high degree of technology integration. This makes the park ideally suited for historical lessons in an alternative environment to the classroom. Additionally, the park features Hank the Cowdog, which young readers appreciate. Further statues as well as bronze donor plaques are still to be added, and are coming soon.
