Monday area vehicle crashes send occupants to the hospital, three cited

A case of the Monday’s for several as San Angelo area vehicle crashes send two people to the hospital along with citations issued for those involved.

Twohig and Randolph crash

The first crash occured in downtown San Angelo at the intersection of Randolph and Twohig between a black Hyundai Sonata and a Maroon Nisaan. 

According to officers, the driver in the black Hyundai disregarded the stop sign traveling south on Randolph and collided with the maroon Nisaan.

There were two occupants in the Nisaan whom were transported to Shannon Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the driver of the Nisaan was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign.

S. Bryant and S. Jackson crash

Another viehicle crash near the Wal-Mart on South Bryant involved three vehicles during the noon lunch hour. 

Police say a woman driving a black car collided with a driver in a van. The impact knocked the van into a Jeep Cherokee in the 4600 block of of South Jackson. 

Officers cited the driver in the car for disregarding a red light. The driver of the black car went to the hospital in a private vehicle following the collision.
