MLK Closed for the Week


UPDATE: The right hand east-bound lane of 29th street at MLK is closed. Traffic is diverted into the left hand turning lane to continue through the intersection.

The west-bound left hand lane is closed to allow east bound traffic through the intersection. Boundary cones are set up to help direct traffic at the intersection.

All turning access to MLK from 29th street is closed.


City officials want you to know that one block of a busy San Angelo street will be closed tomorrow and for the rest of the week.

Martin Luther King Drive will be closed to traffic between 28th and 29th streets beginning October, 25th.

The road closure is part of the ongoing construction to rebuild MLK from Loop 306 to 29th street on the North side of San Angelo.

East to West traffic on 29th street  will not be affected by the closure.  The one block on MLK will remain closed through Friday October 27th.
