In news with Kaitlin Moore, a 17 year-old is charged in connection to a teen shooting in the College Hills areas Saturday.
Detectives say an 18 year-old victim was at a party at a home near Sac Avenue and Oxford.
The teen had been in a fight with the suspect 17 year-old Dorian Confer.
The victim’s friends took him to the emergency room where he underwent emergency surgery for a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
At last check the victim was in serious condition.
Police arrested Dorian Confer and he is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Early voting for the November 7th general election starts this week.
Some items on the ballot include authorizing property tax exemptions for disabled veterans who’ve had homes donated to them.
It will also include allowing banks to hold promotional activities like raffles.

The second week of testimony will begin Monday in the John Young forgery trial.
Last week during testimony the focus was on the will of John Sullivan and whether it was written by somebody else.
Sullivan was found dead in his Santa Rita home two days after the date on his purported hand-written will in June of 2014
On Friday the state called bail bondsman Armando Martinez to the witness stand.
He testified he and Ray Zapata were the ones who found the body of 74 year-old John Sullivan.
Martinez testified Zapata called the defendant John Young twice before calling 911, which Martinez ultimately did.
Defense attorneys say an expert on handwriting analysis will testify at some point during the trial.
