Today San Angelo To Go will begin their efforts to give back to the community and its groups.
The food delivery service is helping out the San Angelo Fire Department by offering a dollar and 50 cents of their customer’s delivery fee to the department.
Also anyone who eats at Dickey’s BBQ can have 10 percent of their ticket donated to the fire department by showing their server the “San Angelo To Go” flier.
You can get your copy of the flier on their Facebook page by searching for “San Angelo To Go.”
Easter events took place across the Concho valley over the weekend, beginning with life church’s “Easter Fest.”
It’s the 17th year for the event which as you can see had candies dropping from the helicopter for attendees to collect.
Over 150-thousand eggs were also offered for the Easter egg hunt with more than 10 thousand people expected as with each year.
Organizers say this is one of the state’s largest Easter egg hunts–with the large group of egg-hunters broken up into 7 fields by age, and one group for special needs individuals.
Meanwhile the San Angelo nature center hosted their own Easter event with their annual Egg-Stravaganza!
Dozens of kids joined in the fun alongside their parents for some face-painting, arts and crafts work and some egg hunting later in the afternoon.
They also got a chance to check out the animals on-hand at the nature center with the help of one of the employees.
