SAN ANGELO, Texas – A new judge presides in Tom Green County beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 1.

Judge Andrew Graves took over the gavel after Judge Penny Roberts retired after taking the Tom Green County Court of Law Number Two bench in 1995. Judge Roberts was the only one to hold this position since its creation.

“It’s an honor to be able to do this. It’s an honor that all of the voters, to vote for me, to elect me in this position,” shared Judge Graves. “It’s a vast amount of responsibility that comes with this position and with the trust of the voters that’s given to me to continue the great job Judge Roberts has done these years.”

Judge Graves had won the Republican primary in March after running unopposed. This effectively elected him to the bench as the general election is now underway.
