The Junior Stock Show

Also, the San Angelo Junior Stock Show started on Friday at eight in the morning to do weigh-ins and continued yesterday at 7:30 in the morning.

The categories at the show were sheep, cattle, goat, pig, rabbits, and poultry.

The stock show is a chance for 4H and FFA kids to start their lifestyle projects and teaching them all kinds of lifestyle skills, like responsibility and financial management. There are also other projects they can involve themselves in as well.

County Extension Agent, Hayley Meyer, says, “we do have a project show that kind of allows kids to bring out either art projects, science projects, food projects, some sewing stuff. So, they can enter through that as well through 4H and FFA.”

The kids in these shows can further take their animals to other major shows around the state.
