SAN ANGELO, Texas – Meals for the Elderly teamed up with the San Angelo Clay Bird Association to host the 14th Annual Meals for the Elderly Sporting Clay Shoot.
The effort was aimed to help raise funds for the 700 homebound seniors, that they serve every day.
This was one of the three major fundraising efforts, that support the non-profit.
Two shooting rotations that were offered, at 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and just under 200 shooters raised funds for the cause.
They also had breakfast, lunch, drawings for guns and a live auction going on.
“The weathers been perfect, we got a little cool wind blowing here today. It’s a great event. We have good shooter turn out for our 8:00 a.m. rotation and you hear them shooting for the 11:00 a.m. We hope to make a lot of money on our shooter registration, our live auction and everybody buying raffle tickets. So, all of it goes to benefit our homebound seniors,” said Chase Bruton, who is the Board Chair for Meals for the Elderly.
