San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts Family Day combines science and artistry

Local News

Today was another fun filled family day at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts.

SAMFA’s Family Day event took place just across the river from downtown. Today’s event saw a healthy dose of science added to artistry. Taking place alongside the fine arts ceramic opening weekend, the event welcomed members of ASU’s science departments.

“We partner with ASU, different science departments, and we put on this awesmome family day where kids can make art projects, they can do science experiments. One of our big fun things we do is we have a chemistry magic show, so it’s ‘magic’ but done with chemistry and they explain how the tricks work,” said Bailey Upton, Family Programs Manager for SAMFA.
