Saturday morning the San Angelo Elks Lodge held a spring garage sale to help fund special needs children’s programs.
Items were sold at their location at 2121 South Chadbourne and all of them were donated by the community.
This is one of their two annual garage sales. The proceeds will go towards funding summer camps and other activities for special needs children.
“It went awesome, it was great. We love the way the city supports us. They realize that we are a non-profit and that all of our proceeds go to either camps, or grants, or things like that. It went awesome,” said Karen Vanetten, Lecturing Knight for Elks Lodge.
Vanetten also said that nearly $700 were raised. Any of the items that didn’t sell will be donated to Rust Street Ministries and Goodwill.
