San Angelo Elks Club hosts fish fry to raise money for Women Veterans Association and Family Shelter

News

This year, the Elks Club put on their very first fish fry, with all proceeds going towards the Women Veterans’ Association and the Family Shelter in the Concho Valley.

The fish fry went on between 6 to 8 pm Saturday afternoon.

It was said that five minutes after the event began, about sixty people had already shown up.

The Elks Club helped advertise the fish fry by getting the word out through television, the newspaper, and also by word of mouth.

Folks were encouraged to swing by and purchase a plate, in order to help support the two great causes.
