Local News

San Angelo business owners Tuesday learned about how tourism can help bring profits.

The vice president of the San Angelo Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, spoke to chamber members during Tuesday’s luncheon in the stables building at Fort Concho.

Diann Bayes says the economic impact of tourism includes money spent at San Angelo hotels, stores and restaurants, and amounts to an estimated 70 million dollars pumped into the economy annually.

This month, the chamber is also promoting “how to be a visitor in your own town” with information at the visitor’s center downtown.
