San Angelo school students joined area law enforcement officers to start “Red Ribbon” week.
Noon at the county courthouse San Angelo Ambleside school students helped the County Sheriff Police Chief and others with a special proclamation.
“Red Ribbon” week is about educating young people about the dangers of drug abuse.
“So we are going to be visiting some of the different counties in the Concho Valley,” said DFC Prevention Director Ray Valadez. “We will be doing some pep rallies, some morning shows, and just hanging out with the kids and spreading the positive prevention message.”
The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council and Concho Valley Cares helped organize kickoff for Red Ribbon week.
