Local and area bus service now named Concho Valley Transit

Ribbon cutting event on Nov. 14 at 1:00 p.m.

SAN ANGELO, TX - The Transa and Thunderbird buses that service San Angelo and greater Concho Valley have a new look and a different name: Concho Valley Transit (CVT).

The rebranding process began with the realization many individuals were unaware the Thunderbird services and the Transa services were controlled by the same organization: the Concho Valley Council of Governments. Moreover, there was a feeling of disconnect between the rural and the urbanized areas of the Concho Valley, which needed to change in order to make the system unified again. Concho Valley Transit began their rebranding process by placing new logos on all of their service vehicles, issuing rebranded uniforms for drivers, and updating passenger resources for the public to access.

To celebrate the rebranding, Concho Valley Transit will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on November 14th, 2018 at 510 N. Chadbourne Street. The ribbon cutting will occur at 1:00 p.m., and cake and beverages will be served immediately following the event. Tours of the facility, as well as tours of the vehicles, will also be provided upon completion of the initial event.
