San Angelo, TX - Music filled the air on Saturday with the sounds of the Lakeview Mariachi.
They partnered up with Tarpley Music Company to raise money for upcoming competitions.
Hot dogs were sold as part of the fundraiser that will go toward any competition or lodging fees.
After advancing to state in late February, the mariachi will be traveling to another one next month.
"Our next competition -- we're going to be playing in South Padre, there's a festival going on and we're going to be going down there in April 20-22 and we'll be performing in front of some judges and then take the kids out to Schlitterbahn in South Padre," Rosendo Ramos explains.
Instructor Ramos teaches at both Lakeview High School and Lincoln Middle School.
He says he would like to help the students grow musically and academically.
