UPDATE – Wednesday, December 15, 2021: The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified both drivers involved in a deadly head-on collision that happened east of Wall yesterday morning.

According to a statement issued by DPS, the driver who lost control of the Ford F-550 is Robert Rasco, 42, of Corpus Christi. Investigators say Rasco was uninjured in the crash.

The driver who was killed in yesterday’s collision was identified by DPS as Bradley Scott Lindsey, 55, of Robert Lee.

Investigators say Rasco was driving northbound on US Highway 87 when he lost control of his vehicle after, ‘for an unknown reason’, his truck touched the concrete barrier while crossing a bridge. Rasco’s truck crossed the median into oncoming traffic and hit Lindsey’s van head-on.

Lindsey’s van was pushed into the south ditch and Rasco’s Ford F-550 detached from the trailer it was towing, rolled once, and stopped in the south ditch.

It is unknown whether DPS will issue any citations.
