Fatal accident on U.S. 87, north of San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX - A 28-year-old Oklahoma man was killed in a single vehicle accident early Friday morning on U.S. 87, 12 miles north of San Angelo.

San Angelo Police responded to the accident around 12:45 a.m. Friday morning.

Preliminary investigation shows that David Anthony Garmon of Arga, Oklahoma was driving his 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 Pickup northbound on US 87. For an unknown reason, he traveled into the east barrow ditch. The Garmon steered left, traveled across the northbound lanes of U.S. 87 and into the center median. The vehicle went into a side skid and then overturned multiple times, before it came to rest in the center median upright facing north. It is unknown if the driver was wearing a seatbelt.

Justice of the Peace J.P. McGuire responded and formally pronounced Garmon deceased.
