Collision on Abe St. sends two people to hospital

SAN ANGELO, TX - Two people went to the hospital after a collision on South Abe Wednesday.

One of the drivers collided with a parked driver who officers say was eating their lunch.

According to police, a motorist in a Kia Sorento was headed south on South Abe street when they struck a Nissan Altima parked on the side of the road.

The impact from the collision caused the Nissan to spin around, trapping the female driver inside.

Both were taken to Community hospital for observation.

The driver of the Kia received a citation for failure to control speed.
