The City of San Angelo is seeking volunteers to paint the homes of elderly, low-income citizens in the Rio Vista area during the annual Neighborhood Blitz on Saturday, April 29.

The effort, sponsored by the City, Habitat for Humanity and A Brush with Kindness, will repaint 26 homes as part of the City’s neighborhood revitalization program.

“Those who have volunteered in our Neighborhood Blitz inevitably find it a fulfilling experience helping their neighbors in need,” said Bob Salas, director of the Neighborhood & Family Services Department.

All equipment and supplies, including ladders, paint and rollers, will be provided along with a continental breakfast and a warm lunch.

The optimal number of volunteers per team is 12-15. Individual volunteers are also welcomed and will be placed on an existing team.

For more information or to volunteers, contact Salas at 325-655-0824 or robert.salas@cosatx.us.
