SAN ANGELO, TX - While striving towards a career in nursing, San Angelo's Nolan Osmanski, found his way onto the big screen, in the new film, The Iron Orchard.
Former Central Bobcat, Former Angelo State athlete, current nursing major, and now -- he's made his way onto the big screen.
Nolan Osmanski is now not only known in his hometown of San Angelo, but in several cities across the nation.
Producer Houston Hill initially reached out to Nolan through Facebook.
Like any other person might think, Nolan thought the offer sounded just a little too good to be true.
The director wanted a lineman to play the role of antagonist, Buster Drum, and that's exactly what they got.
The movie, The Iron Orchard, was filmed back in the summer of 2017.
A couple years before, Nolan had just graduated with his first degree in Natural Resource Management. Now he's striving towards a career in nursing.
As for acting, Nolan's not opposed to doing it again.
He says, "If this opens up some doors to other films being made, sure, I'd love to run with it."
The film has already won multiple awards and Cinemark Tinseltown will be having a special showing of the movie on March 1st at 1:20pm, 4:35pm, 7:25pm, 10:20pm, and again on Saturday.
