Angelo State Wind Ensemble performs “Free Running” for San Angelo community at ASU Auditorium

Anyone who happened to swing by the ASU Auditorium around 2:30pm Sunday afternoon got to see Angelo State University’s Wind Ensemble. The free concert was titled, “Free Running”.

Today’s performance was the first of ten stops for the concert tour, and about fifty people made it out to the auditorium to catch the entertainment. Sunday’s Wind Ensemble was conducted by Dr. Jonathan D. Alvis. 
In their upcoming travels, the ensemble will be heading to Odessa, Lubbock, and a few other west texas cities. Looking ahead, the ASU ensemble will be performing at Murphey Hall on May 3rd at 7pm. 

ASU Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia member, Ivan Franco, additionally stated, “I personally am part of the ASU symphony. We put in a lot of hard work to put together these concerts. We do it with the intention of sharing music with the community, because music can be a really good thing in people’s lives. I think it’s really important for the community to come be a part of that.”
