The 80’s themed run benefits the journey recovery center and — is in fact celebrating recovery.

The recovery center being built will be twenty thousand square feet and the facility will treat seventy two clients at a time and will be adding detox to the recovery process.

Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council Program Development Director, Paulette Schell, says, “we just want to make sure that people know that recovery is possible, and that it is worth fighting for. It’s worth running towards, and that’s what we are doing today with this 80’s themed race.”

Paulette says it is never too late to donate.

The race had to get rescheduled from September because of the rain and she says she was thankful for the beautiful day.
