Hundreds of Concho Valley residents strapped on their running shoes for the Crazy Desert Trail Race.

This was the fifth annual Crazy Desert Trail Race at the San Angelo State Park.

Organizers say the trail has been used by horses for so many years that its in the perfect condition for trail racing. The race had five different distances ranging from a 5K to 100K to ensure everyone could be challenged and have some fun.

Awards were given to the first three finishers in each race along with handmade items from the Tarahumara Indians.
