JURY SPEAKS: Isidro Delacruz Sentenced to Death in Capital Murder Trial

This is a developing story: We’re working on getting more details and will have more tonight on the evening news.

After close to ten hours of deliberations a Tom Green County jury sentenced 27-year-old Isidro Delacruz to the death penalty.

The same jury convicted Delacruz of capital murder on March 29th, 2018.

In the span of about an hour on the morning of September 2, 2014 — 5-year-old Naiya Villegas’ life was taken away.

And more than 3 years later a jury in the capital murder trial related to her death returned a punishment of death for Isidro Delacruz — the defendant in the case. Click the link or photo below to follow the coverage of the case.

Trial history starting with guilty verdict announced in late March.
