Infant Dies After Ejected from Pickup in Rollover on US 67


An infant has died from injuries sustained in a rollover collision, that happened Wednesday afternoon on US 67, just north of Harriet.  

Just before 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, DPS Troopers, Quail Valley Volunteer Firefighters, TXDot officials, and Tom Green County Sheriffs’ Deputies all responded to the accident.

According to state police, the woman driving the white pickup truck was going north on 67 when she lost control of the vehicle.

The one-year-old girl and the 3-year-old boy passengers were both ejected from pickup when it rolled several times. The girl was air-lifted, in critical condition, to Shannon Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries. The mother and the three-year old boy were both transported to Shannon by ambulance for treatment. The extent of their injuries are not know at this time.

Officials completely shut down 67 in the area for about 2 hours.
