Feb. 14, 2018 — A structure fire Valentine’s Day morning engulfed a house at 2000 Marx Street.

San Angelo Fire Department Inspector Carl Berry said he got his call to go to the location approximately 7:30 a.m.

“Several pumpers, Ladder One, Rescue One, and SAPD support responded to the scene. There was a lone occupant, and was able to escape the blaze uninjured,” said Berry. “The cause of the fire is under investigation, that’s all we know at this point.”

At 9:00 a.m. a lone pumper remained on scene putting out hot spots in the attic area of the structure.

This is a developing story. More will be posted as information becomes available.
