Economic impact of Spring Jam 2019

Spring Jam 2019 is only a few weeks away, and with a recent expansion in hotel inventory, San Angelo has roughly 2,800 hotel rooms available for guests to come visit the city. Spring Jam is sure to fill many rooms with people who will do more than just occupy a room. Places like Old Central Firehouse for example, is geared towards providing visitors with a short walk to the heart of downtown.

Beyond the homey BnB’s, the larger hotels are also an important part of events like Spring Jam, as the hotel and sales taxes generated by their guests help the city’s general fund. One such larger hotel is event sponsor, Courtyard Marriott.

While this is not the first Spring Jam, it is the most well organized. Event planners reached out to work with the Chamber of Commerce to discuss hotel room blocks, and to make sure San Angelo’s unique River Stage venue was ready for Cinco de Mayo weekend.
