Deadly three vehicle crash kills 1, injures 1 outside of San Angelo

Texas Department of Public Safety has released the findings of an preliminary accident investigation that occurred on Thursday, November 1, 2018. 

Around 6 pm, a 2018 F-350 truck, with one male driver was traveling eastbound on U.S 67 at a very high rate of speed. The F-350 rammed into the rear of a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado pickup that was also traveling eastbound on U.S 67. The 2014 Chevrolet pickup, who was occupied by Roy Flores Carrillo, 48, of San Angelo, TX, was forced off the left side of the roadway as a result of the collision. 

After striking Carrillo’s vehicle, the driver of the F-350 truck continued eastbound and struck a second vehicle, a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado pickup, who was occupied by one male driver. The 2003 Chevrolet pickup was also forced off the roadway. 

The driver of the F-350 truck eventually came to a stop on the side of the roadway. 

Both Carrillo and the male driver of the 2003 Chevrolet Pickup were transported to Shannon Medical Center.

The driver of the 2003 Chevrolet pickup had non-incapacitating injuries.

Shortly after 7pm, Roy Flores Carrillo of San Angelo was pronounced dead due to injuries sustained during the crash.
