News

The Central High School Mighty Bobcat Band is leading the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington D.C.

The group was selected as the Texas representative band to perform in this parade and to enjoy five days of educational touring.

The parade, commemorating its thirteenth year, is our nation’s largest Memorial Day event, drawing hundreds of thousands of spectators to the National Mall to pay tribute to those who have served, are serving, and most importantly those who have made the ultimate sacrifice while in service to our country.

Thursday afternoon, the students loaded up their luggage and instruments into the trailer that is expected to leave for the nation’s capitol Friday morning.

The National Memorial Day Parade will be streamed live for viewing on the event’s website nationalmemorialdayparade.com.
