Seniors from the Baptist Retirement Community celebrated “Senior Health and Fitness Day” Wednesday afternoon.

The hot weather drew members and their families inside of the crest house. Everyone was able to enjoy a classic antique and car show and pinewood derby races.

“Many of our residents did Boy Scouts when they were younger and painted their own pine wood derby cars,” said marketing director Erin Kelly. “So we wanted to bring back some of those memories that they had.”

Seniors also took part of a homemade ice cream contest as well.
