Angry Cactus Statue Installed on Newest Restaurant Downtown

After more than two years of planning, and plenty of controversy, the newest downtown San Angelo restaurant is closer to completion.

On Tuesday, workers put the giant “angry cactus” sign in place on the new Angry Cactus restaurant downtown, on West Concho.

An Austin company created the bright green sign from Styrofoam and fiberglass. It will rest against the restaurant’s front awning.

Owner of Angry Cactus West Teas Bar and Grill, Tim Condon, says the scheduled opening for the restaurant and bar will be in about a month — sometime in November.
