4th Anniversary of Jamie Padron’s Death

On April 6, 2012, Austin Police Officer, and former San Angelo Police Officer Jaime Padron, was shot and killed while serving the citizens of his community.  April 6, 2016, marks the 4th anniversary of his death.
On Wednesday April 6, 2016, friends, family, and co-workers of Jaime’s will meet at the Red Arroyo Running Path, across from Unidad Park on Vista del Arroyo, to run continuous 5K segments to show support, and honor his memory.  Running was a hobby of Jaime’s.  The run will begin at 4 – o’clock, will last for 4 hours, and is on the 4th anniversary of his death.
If you are interested in committing a running time, you can contact Matt Baldwin at 656-3393; more runners are needed throughout the 4 hour period.  Runners will come-and-go, and attendance for 4 hours is not necessary.  If you would like to run at your own pace, walk the path, bring your family, or simply attend, all are welcome.
There are no fees to participate nor will prizes be awarded.  Our purpose is to gather and sacrifice a little of our time, remembering a fellow officer who made the ultimate sacrifice, walking the Thin Blue Line.
